We are proud to announce that our MMA and Muay Thai coach is none other than the great Luiz Azeredo. Luiz has beaten some of the best MMA stars in the world including Anderson Silva and Paul Daley. Luiz has also beaten UFC veterans Fabricio Camoes and Rodrigo Ruas.

Luiz is also a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 3rd Degree Black Belt. Luiz’s resume includes previously fighting numerous times in the Pride Fighting Championships, the most prestigious mixed martial arts organization of its era, and the Bellator Fighting Championships, one of MMA’s biggest promotion. Luiz in not currently fighting.

Mixed Martial Arts Career

On November 22, 2008 he participated in Shoot Boxing World Tournament 2008, where he reached the semi finals and was defeated by defending champion Kenichi Ogata. He is notable for being the first of five people to have ever defeated Anderson Silva.

Bellator

Azeredo made his Bellator debut at Bellator 33 winning against formerly undefeated, Edward Guedes. He won the fight after dominating all three rounds, as he got the unanimous decision win. It is being rumored that, with the win, Azeredo has been offered a spot in the Season 4 lightweight tournament.
