Wrestling is a form of combat sport involving grappling type techniques such as clinch fighting, throws and takedowns, joint locks, pins and other grappling holds. A wrestling bout is a physical competition, between two (occasionally more) competitors or sparring partners, who attempt to gain and maintain a superior position. There are a wide range of styles with varying rules with both traditional historic and modern styles. Wrestling techniques have been incorporated into other martial arts as well as military hand-to-hand combat systems.

YOU WILL LEARN:

 

  • Attacking from the standing position
  • Hand Fighting Skills: Learn to create the openings necessary for your offense
  • Chain Wrestling: Put together scoring combinations in a fluid manner
  • Counter Offense: Re-attacking immediately after your opponent attacks
  • Develop proficiency at set ups, finished and counter attacks
  • Learn to dominate on the mat: Explosive movement from the bottom, consistent pressure and attacks from top and combination attacks to score more points
  • Utilize strength and conditioning workouts that will prepare you to peak physically at championship time
